Journey Fight Series III RESULTS – McKinnon outpoints Fisher, Palmer and Embree advance to the all Canada final.

The Semi-Finals of the Journey Fight Series have come to an end and only two fighters stand. Canada’s Josh Palmer advanced to the final after stopping Philadelphia’s Justin Greskiewicz with a hard knee to the body in Rd. 3. In the other semi-final of the night, Canada’s Matt Embree scored a split decision win over U.S. based Thai, Coke Chunawat, in a rematch of their previous meeting that saw Coke take home the split. With this result, the finals of the Journey Fight Series will be an all Canadian affair.

The evenings superfight saw Calgary’s own “Shotgun” Sean McKinnon face off with Pittsburgh Muay Thai’s Marcus Fisher. Sean McKinnon, who dropped his pro debut to American nakmuay Ben Case in the last Journey Fight Series, was looking to make his sophomore effort a success against Fisher, who was himself making his pro debut. After five rounds, the Calgary native edged out the game Marcus Fisher to take home the decision win.

In the evenings main event, Turkish-German wunderkind Meryem Uslu defeated Canada’s Jessica Gladstone by unanimous decision.
