Steven Wakeling wins WBC Super Middleweight World Title in Pattaya!

British nakmuay, Steven Wakeling, looked in top form this past Saturday as he fought 2010 WBC Super Middleweight World Champion Jaochalam in Pattaya, Thailand. Wakeling, who won the WBC Middleweight World title in 2006, looked to be slightly ahead of the Thai during most of the fight. In Rd. 4, Wakeling, who was training out of Sitsonpeenong for this fight, dropped his Thai opponent with a punch and elbow combination that ended with knees to the body and head of Jaochalam. After the referee gave Jaochalam a standing 8 count, Wakeling pounced on his already weakened opponent and delivered another combination that ended with knees to his opponents body and dropped him for good.

Also on the card was a 4-man tournament featuring fighters from around the world, with Andi Rogner of Germany walking away with the tournament win.
