Take On Productions releases details about October 22nd event in Atlantic City

Muay Thai is Life was the first website to break the news that NYC’s Take On Productions was planning its first ever full Muay Thai rules event in New Jersey. At the time of our previous announcement, the details about the event were scarce as the planning was still in its beginning stages. However, we are happy to announce that Take On Productions’ promoter Eddie Cuello recently let Muay Thai is Life in on the full details of what looks to be another epic event for Muay Thai on the east coast and the country in general.

Take On Productions, in association with Madison Square Garden and Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, is proud to present a night of full Muay Thai rules action on October 22nd. The promotion also announced that for the first time in the northeast, amateur bouts will also be contested under full Muay Thai rules. He specified that only those amateurs with previous ring experience will be allowed to compete according to full Muay Thai rules, therefore fans can expect a night featuring advanced amateurs and seasoned pros. Eddie Cuello of Take On Productions stated that amateur fighters will not be required to wear shin pads or headgear, but will be required to wear elbow pads.

The first match confirmed for the event is between NYC’s Jay Matias and Boston Muay Thai’s Jake Manini. This fight will be Matias’ long awaited pro debut. Also scheduled to fight on the pro Muay Thai portion of the card is NYC favorite Sean Hinds.

Other fighters that at this point have not been confirmed but are rumored to be participating are: James “B-52″ Smith, Osvaldo Dominguez, Stoney Morales, Andy Singh, and many more!
