Push Kick Promotions announces Muay Thai World Standoff “Thailand vs. The Americas” – August 18th, 2012
UPDATE – RESULTS AT END OF POST! Push Kick Promotions is back! And highlighting their return is the announcement of their upcoming event, Muay Thai World Standoff “Thailand vs The Americas”. The event will feature a few of Thailand’s top fighters, such as Aikpracha “The Hitman” Meenayotin, Lerdsila “Mr. Lightning” Chumpairtour, Neungsiam “The Rock” Samphusri, and Rung Reung Chai facing off with a few of America’s top and rising talents. Standing across the ring from these Thai champions will be some of America’s top talents from both the east and west coast of the United States. Aikpracha Meenayotin wins, keeps Toyota Vigo Tournamnet title in Thailand
This past Friday, October 29th, Aikpracha Meenayotin was the last man standing in the 154 lb Toyota Vigo Tournament. The tournament included 7 other fighters from around the world, including Cyrus Washington from the U.S. Vahid Rossani defeated Cyrus Washington in the first stage of the tournament, sending the American home early. In the semi-final Rossani faced off with Don Madge of South Africa, who looked to be the strongest fighter in the event other than Meenayotin from Thailand. Don Madge, was outpointing Rossani and on his way to the finals when he suffered a nasty knee injury when defending a leg kick from Rossani. In the finals, Aikpracha Meenayotin, who had defeated Antuan Siangboxing of France in the semi-finals, outpointed Vahid Rossini to win the Toyota Vigo Tournament and thus keep the title at home in the Kingdom of Thailand.
