K-1/Dutch Kickboxing Weekend: Glory World Series, Slamm!, and K-1 Rising…where will you be?!

So pardon the cheesy Dutch centric header graphic but honestly I had it lying around in my personal library of utterly pointless designs. K-1 Rising – The kickboxing juggernaut’s return to glory begins in Spain. Full lineup announced!

For months now, we have had heard rumors regarding the return of K-1. Then there came the news that K-1 and current kickboxing powerhouse It’s Showtime struck a deal whereby both promotions would join forces in order to put together some of the biggest kickboxing bouts since the K-1′s glory days in Japan. Finally, we heard rumors of a show sometime later this year as well as a press release stating that K-1 is looking to make its way stateside during the 2012-2013 season to help further promote kickboxing here in the United States. Now, whether or not all of these statements hold up in the long run remains to be seen but what we do know now is that kickboxing heavyweight Badr Hari has signed a deal with K-1 and will return to the kickboxing ring in addition to continuing his quest for boxing glory. In addition to the news regarding Badr Hari, K-1 has now released the full lineup of K-1 Rising, their heralded comeback event which will be held on May 27th in Madrid, Spain.
